Flashes of Quincy

The White Stripes was an interesting project conceptually, but they weren’t a “band,” they were Jack White and his ex-wife, who played drums, terribly. They made some very good albums, but they were all extremely uneven, and only Get Behind Me Satan found them reaching outside of their audience to do something other than cater to the subscribers of MOJO and Rolling Stone. Playing blues riffs through garage rock does not make you the 4th Yardbird, Jack. A major band that should be a minor one, they will barely be missed.
